According to findings of a survey from Cahners Publishing Company and the Strategic Planning Institute, there is clear evidence that cutting advertising budgets during an economic slowdown can cause both an immediate and long-term decrease in profit levels and brand awareness.

Advertising serves as a way for companies to show their financial stability and commitment to uphold their business obligations during trying times.

By continuing to advertise, brand awareness remains constant, giving advertised businesses an advantage over companies that may cease advertising and marketing efforts.

BPR produced an event for Paramount Pictures and DOXA Watches of Switzerland to promote the Matthew McConaughey film SAHARA.  The ads we created ran in 20 major markets in the U.S. plus Canada on television and in newspapers.  Lucky readers, viewers in each city won a limited edition “Dirk Pitt” ™ genuine DOXA Dive Watch valued at $1500 USD.  The value of the media coverage to Paramount and DOXA was valued in excess of $1,000,000.  The cost to DOXA for the watches and PR time was less than $25,000.
